Burping While Getting Ready for Work
I awaken not from my alarm that I snoozed through, but from the sound of my very own burps. I panic about the time and call in to work to let them know I'm running late. After lying in bed for another minute in hope that my burps will subside, they do not. Must be from going out last night?
The burps continue as I change into my work clothes inside of my closet. I then arrive at my bathroom sink and brush my teeth. It would be too tricky to use mouthwash with these uncontrollable burps so I just do a quick rinse. Being that this seems like a health issue at this point, I call back into work to see if I can get the day off.
Embarrassingly enough, I just can't stop burping, even when I'm on the phone with my boss. She has me drink some water which makes it worse! She reassures me that if this continues then I can help out around the office in a different way so I don't lose any hours. It's certainly not ideal for me to do customer support while having uncontrollable burps like this!
